Arrowtown, Otago

Possibly the most iconic spot for autumn colours in New Zealand, Arrowtown offers a fun escape with beautiful scenery for both humans and dogs. Stroll along the Arrow River Trail where golden poplars line the riverbanks, and stop off in town for one of the most iconic pies. Just be sure to keep your pup on-leash and bring bags to clean up after them – this heritage town is proud of its tidy paths!

Hagley Park, Christchurch

Right in the heart of Christchurch, Hagley Park is a dog-friendly haven. In autumn, the avenues of trees become tunnels of colour.
